Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan was born on February 17, 1963, in Brooklyn, New York. His family later moved to Wilmington, North Carolina.

Young Michael’s best sport was baseball. He didn’t make his high school basketball team as a sophomore. Later, he played well enough to be noticed by Coach Dean Smith at the University of North Carolina (UNC). Jordan won a scholarship to UNC.

Coral Reef

There are hundreds of different kinds of coral. Hard coral or stony coral is the kind of coral that builds reefs. These corals have hard outer skeletons. Other corals do not have hard outer skeletons and look like fans or flowers. Some kinds of coral look like the branches of a tree. Other kinds can sting you if you touch them.

The Beatles

The Beatles were a rock music sensation in the 1960s and 1970s. Everyone had a favorite among the four. For some people, it was Paul McCartney, the sweet one, or John Lennon, the funny one. For others, it was George Harrison, the mystery man, or Ringo Starr, the bouncy drummer. The Beatles changed popular music for all time, with their songs and their sparkling personalities.

School holidays

Miss Berenato is keeping us updated on her Thai visit on the Thai Bridge page. Today Miss Pang went to the 1000 Steps in Fern Tree Gully. It was soooo foggy that she couldn’t see other people on the track. (Have a look at the photo below.)

We would love to hear what everyone else is getting up to. Let us know by commenting below!

Guitar Lessons

If you are keen to learn how to play guitar, write an expression of interest to Mr Lyon on this blog. At the very least, you must own a 3/4 sized acoustic guitar. If you have an electric guitar, this will also suffice. The lessons will be Tuesday lunchtimes, second half (1:30-1:55) starting next term. 5 places available only!

It comes to an end..

Today was our last day of camp. We had such a great time shooting arrows, holding snakes, flying through the sky and climbing up crates. Here are a few photos from camp, hope you enjoy them!
